Bret & Katie's visit with Nannie & Papa

Bret & Katie spent a wonderful evening in Minnesota before their trip to Florida. Nannie & Papa came over and they played pinochle together. Bret had to brush up on his pinochle skills but with a little help he did well. WE had dinner and Katie made her awesome strawberry shortcake for dessert! YUM!!! Before we knew it Nannie turned into a pumpkin and had to go home to get to bed. We all had a good time together.

Wedding shower fun!!!

This past weekend there was a wedding shower to celebrate Ryan & Leanne. Our friends hosted it in their backyard and the theme was Minnesota Twins since both Leanne & Ryan love the Twins. It was like a tailgate party with trucks parked in the backyard and grills placed near the trucks for grilling the food. We were joined by Ryan's family and alot of our friends. It was even fun to have all the Grandparents in town for the celebration. On Monday we went on a picnic with the grandparents to a beautiful park located in Eden Prairie. There is a Veterans Memorial located at this park and I got a picture of Papa with the soldiers. We are very excited about the upcoming wedding and looking forward to seeing most of you.

Summertime is a crazy time. Kids in and out, planning a wedding, shower with Ryan's family, shower with our friends and family, trips to the airport, dinner time and games, sleepovers...Lots of fun & crazy stuff. Looking forward to seeing everyone in a few short weeks.
